Arranged in a rustic style, all rooms of Hotel Fortuna boast exceptional amenities: beds with orthopedic mattresses, separate bathrooms, cable television, telephones connected both to international exchanges and to the Internet.
Hotel Fortuna shows the tourist who has reached an elevation of 750 m, in the Baile Tusnad area, that life can be wonderful. The original Finnish sauna, the shower cabin with hydromassage, the balneoclimatic treatments or the professionally performed massages are just a few examples to convince you not to bypass our hotel under any circumstances.
For tourists who want to venture outside the resort, hiking or bus excursions can be organized. All excursions start from the same place, namely from the parking lot opposite the Roman Catholic church.
Those who want to sunbathe or swim can take a walk to the clearing with 2 thermal pools. The clearing is called Veresviz and is located near the hotel. Also, the shore of Saint Anne Lake is an ideal place for recreation, sunbathing and swimming.
As a special note, fishermen and hunters can take advantage of the local seasons.
In terms of events, we can recommend the Balvanyos Summer University, the most important summer event where you can attend various national and international concerts. Another important summer event is the "Saint Anne Days", celebrated on the shore of Saint Anne Lake. Every year this event brings together thousands of young people from all over the world.

Both the resort of Baile Tusnad and its surroundings are characterized by beauty and uniqueness. Here are some of the most important tourist landmarks of the area:
SAINT ANNE LAKE
It is the only lake of volcanic origin in the whole territory of Romania. Located at an altitude of 946 m, it is shaped like an easel. Its water, almost distilled, is not drinkable because of the lack of mineral salts.
Saint Anne Lake, also known as a nature reserve, is connected to Baile Tusnad by tourist trails.
Next to the lake there is a Roman Catholic chapel dedicated to Saint Anne.
MOHOS PEAT BOG
The Mohos Peat Bog is located in the crater neighboring that of Saint Anne Lake. It is a floristic reserve with numerous botanical rarities from the time of the glaciation (such as the sundew, a carnivorous plant).
The reserve is at an altitude of 1050 m. Entering the Mohos Peat Bog is recommended only with a guide.
FALCONS' ROCK
There is no tourist who does not admire the rock that rises on the right bank of the Olt River. Known as the most famous gazebo in the area, Falcons' Rock offers a rare view: the resort of Baile Tusnad, the ridges of Ciumatu and Surduc, Lake Ciucas, the entire Olt gorge.
Located at a height of 824 m, the Rock is accessible by following the trails that start from the resort and are marked with a red triangle.
BRAN CASTLE
Considered the "residence" of Count Dracula, the castle sits on a rock, in the middle of the Carpathian Mountains, on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia.
It is a unique place where the atmosphere of the Middle Ages has been preserved, the castle being today a genuine museum of medieval art.
PELES CASTLE
The former summer residence of the kings of Romania, Peles Castle is currently a museum.
The construction, which follows the patterns of the medieval style, was built during the reign of Romania's first monarch, King Carol I of Hohenzollern. His wife, Queen Elisabeth, took care in large part of its decoration.
PELISOR CASTLE
Located next to Peles, Pelisor Castle is the mirror of the refinement that characterized Queen Marie, nicknamed "the mother of the wounded".
In architectural style, the castle follows Renaissance features on the outside and Art Nouveau on the inside. Viennese furniture or Tiffany vases are just two of the exhibits of this architectural jewel.
SIGHISOARA
A "museum town", Sighisoara is an authentic medieval complex that brings together military, civil and ecclesiastical architecture.
It is one of the few inhabited European citadel towns and the only one preserved for the most part. The plan of Sighisoara is characteristic of the German towns founded in the late Middle Ages.
THE CHURCH ON THE HILL
It is the most important monument of the town of Sighisoara and the fourth in importance among the Gothic churches of Transylvania. It bears the Evangelical patronage.
THE CLOCK TOWER
The main point of attraction of the Sighisoara historic center is the History Museum and the Clock Tower that houses it and is a symbol of the town. The Tower served as the town council until 1556, a court and guardhouse until the end of the 19th century. From 1899, the Tower houses the History Museum, where one can see, among other things, various objects from the Bronze Age or a specimen of the first wall clocks made in the 16th century in south-western Germany.
The clock in the Tower was made in Switzerland, its figures representing the days of the week.
HOMOROD MONASTERY (Hamruden)
Located in the center of the locality, the Romanesque Homorod monastery was built in the 13th century and modified between the 15th and 18th centuries. Hamruden was initially fortified in the 15th century with a massive choir tower. The inner wall is quadrangular with towers at each corner. At the end of the 18th century the choir was raised from the southern wall of the church. The Transylvanian Baroque-style furniture also dates from this period.
HARMAN FORTIFIED CHURCH
It is a Romanesque basilica with a western tower, chapels flanking the choir and strong enclosure with water moats.
With a subalpine climate (cool summers and cold winters), Baile Tusnad has an average annual temperature of 6°C and a moderate rainfall of 600-700 mm per year.
In the resort the weather is nice only during a third of the year, the rest of the time being characterized by overcast skies, rain and fog.
It is worth mentioning that on the Olt Gorge a temperature inversion occurs, due to which atmospheric calm and low cloudiness predominate in the area.
