The guesthouse is located in the Danube Delta, on the shore of Violet Lake (MORUGHIOL - in Turkish), not far from the ancient HALMYRIS fortress, in the town of Murighiol, Tulcea county. Built between 2000 and 2003, it has an architecture strongly influenced by local character, meeting the most demanding tastes, with a rating of 5 daisies.
Easily accessible both by road and by the Danube.
By road (rehabilitated in 2002) - 300km from Bucharest, 100km from Constanta, 37km from Tulcea;
By water, by ship or launch from Tulcea, Galati, Constanta, Odesa, Istanbul.

Located in the heart of the Danube Delta, Pensiunea Morena is the ideal place for organizing excursions and research expeditions, birdwatching, fishing and hunting. By boat and launch (access to any area of interest in the Delta within a maximum of 1h ½) - Merhei, Matita, Sulina, Dranov, Garla Imputita, Cuibul cu lebede (Swans' Nest), Trei Iezere, Rosu, Holbina, Razim, Sinoe and a dreamlike coastline as if from the dawn of creation.
The Danube Delta, "one of the last sanctuaries of nature," is often called the wild paradise. In an area of 4200 square kilometers, 3400 species of aquatic fauna have been recorded so far, representing 98% of the species found in Europe.
We want to contribute, and our guests are invited to take part in the effort to preserve the traditions of the local communities of Romanians, Lipovans, Ukrainians, Turks and Tatars in the towns of Jurilovca, Babadag, Sarighiol de Deal, Sarichioi, Slava Rusa, Cercheza and others.
We will discover together a condensed history of the coexistence of these ethnic groups by visiting the Peasant Museum in Enisala (Eni Sale - "New Village" in Turkish), the Ethnography Museum in Tulcea and the Museum of Oriental Art in Babadag.
