About us
Belonging to the Secession style, the building of the "Dacia" hotel is one of the most beautiful buildings built in this style in Transylvania. Built on the site of the old city hall, which dates back to 1768-1772, the construction project was awarded a prize at an architecture competition in Vienna.
In the past, the hotel's guest book recorded the presence of Romanian cultural personalities: N. Iorga, L. Rebreanu, O. Goga, M. Sadoveanu; and more recently it has hosted both King Mihai and all the presidents of Romania after 1989.
Even though the building, with its impressive and majestic facade, gives the impression that you will enter a sumptuously arranged castle, inside you will find a space taken straight out of the 20th century, a modern hotel complex with 107 places arranged in single and double rooms and suites, a restaurant hall with orchestra, a day bar, a terrace, a reception and conference hall, a currency exchange office, all satisfying even the most demanding taste.
The state philharmonic operates in the hotel building.

Due to the high degree of comfort and the services provided, the Dacia hotel was also recognized internationally, being awarded in Madrid in 1995 the "International trophy to the touristic promotion" (Edicoin - Actualidad, Madrid, Spain).
